I have been asked by a friend to help her make a hot water bottle cover after Xmas. The challenge begins! Although I have made a few covers for hot water bottles I have sort of winged it! Of course I did not write the pattern down and so here it goes!
Firstly you need to make 6 small squares for each side. For my covers I remember making target squares. These are less holey than the traditional granny square and therefore I believe slightly more suitable. You can of course use granny squares but please keep your tension as tight as you can.
